Activision has officially announced The Amazing Spider-Man: The Movie video game. While we already knew about the game from a poster at Comic-Con, Activision has now revealed the first details.
The game is developed by Beenox, the same studio behind Shattered Dimensions and this year's Edge of Time, and features a script by Battlestar Galactica writer Kevin Fahey. It will take place in New York and will feature "the return of free-roaming web-slinging all over the city and evolutionary improvements to navigation and combat."
The Amazing Spider-Man: The Movie (the video game) is set to release in summer 2012, timed to coincide with The Amazing Spider-Man film. The first trailer will be shown this Saturday at the Video Game Awards.
