Having previously declared that Dead Island had shipped 2 million a while back, following the game's launch in September, Deep Silver has now announced that the tropical zombie-slaying paradise has since gone on to ship 3 million units, giving Techland a bona fide undead hit.
Dead Island boasts bludgeoning fun for up to 4-players, making it a more than worthy pick as one of our co-op games of the year, and with 3 million copies shipped, there must be plenty of zombie-killers out there, clearing up Banoi's beaches and city streets.
"Dead Island has sold very, very well over the holiday season and we are thrilled that it has sustained a robust level of sell-through since launch in September," Aubrey Norris, Manager of Marketing & PR for Deep Silver told Game Informer. Deep Silver has neglected to reveal that sell-through number however, although we're sure it's perfectly healthy.
